This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how information about you is collected, used, and disclosed by Jordan Cove Energy Project L.P., and its affiliate, Jordan Cove LNG LLC (collectively “Jordan Cove LNG,” the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) and all affiliates thereof. This policy applies to the information we collect when you use our websites, including jordancove.businesscatalyst.com, or mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”), when you attend our events or when you otherwise interact with us as described below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: By accessing or using the Services, you expressly consent to the Company’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. People who visit or use the Services shall be referred to as “Users.”

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the bottom of this Privacy Policy, and in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice, such as by adding a statement to the homepage or by sending an email notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you access the Services to stay informed about our information practices.

Collection of Information

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you interact with us as a stakeholder, send us an email, subscribe for email alerts, complete our feedback or survey forms, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, postal address, email address, phone number, current occupation and business contact information, social media handle (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter handle), demographic information and any other information you choose to provide.

We may collect information that you submit via the Services, such as comments, uploaded media or User Content, contributions to discussions, or messages to other Users. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “User Content” means any data, text, links, video files, photos, or any other content posted by Users.

In addition, we may collect information such as name, phone number, email address and desired position from you if you apply for a job via the Services. We also collect information contained on resumes voluntarily uploaded or sent by job applicants, as well as any similar job-related information or documentation sent by you to us via email.

When you access or use the Services, we automatically collect certain information about you, including:

Log Information

Our servers collect log files when you access our Services, including your browser type and language, access times, pages viewed, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address and the webpage or online service you visited before navigating to our Services.

Device Information

We collect information about the mobile device you use to access our mobile applications, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique mobile device identifiers and mobile network information.

Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use various technologies to collect information, including cookies and web beacons (or pixel tags). Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to, among other things, improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular and count visits. Web beacons are clear, electronic images that may be used on our Services or in our emails and help deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine if an email has been opened and acted upon.

We may collect information regarding your location while accessing the Services, such as geographic area (state and city) and GPS coordinates.

Children’s Information Policy

We do not knowingly solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. If we are made aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 years old in a manner that is inconsistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of the United States, then we will delete this information as soon as practicable.

Purposes of Data Collection

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by the Company in a manner that recognizes the rights of our clients, partners, employees and other stakeholders to have their personal information protected, while recognizing the need that the Company has to collect, use and/or disclose personal information for purposes that are reasonable in providing the Services, and other services and products of our business.

The personal information what we collect is used to respond to inquiries, improve the content and quality of the Services, fill open positions within our organization, facilitate promotions and contests, and to provide information to us and our affiliates for their respective business purposes.

Registration

When one applies to receive Services information via email alerts, the Company will collect, use and disclose personal information for any of the following purposes:

  • emailing the requested information,
  • advising of opportunities for receiving further information,
  • updating the information for our files on a periodic basis to ensure information is accurate,
  • respond to your questions, comments and requests,
  • monitor and analyze usage, trends and activities, and

  • (6) it is necessary to share information to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law,
  • (7) with your consent or permission, or at your direction, including if we notify you that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information, or
  • (8) when investigating and correcting technical problems and malfunctions in the Services or the computer systems that support the Services.

Should you wish to withdraw consent for the use or disclosure of personal information, you must so advise the Company in writing. Be aware that if there is a legal requirement to disclose information which has been collected, withdrawal of consent for such disclosure will have no effect.

Please note that information (including User Content) you post in your profile, blogs, listings, public or private groups, forums and any other interactive areas of the Services, will be available to other users of those features and in some cases may be publicly available. The Company cannot monitor access to public User Content and therefore cannot ensure the privacy or security of such information. The Company is not responsible for the misuse of any public User Content.

Personal information may be available to third parties as noted in the preceding paragraphs. The Company makes no representations or warranties about the acts or omissions of such third parties, including whether such parties will keep such information confidential. When you contact the Company and provide information to the Company, you do so at your own risk, and the Company shall not be liable for any misuse of such information by a third party.

Other than for our marketing purposes, we do not use your email address or other personal information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We may use your name, usage history and email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major updates, customer service needs, or items for which you have requested communication).

Ownership and Storage of Information

We use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Services. The Company and its licensors own the code, databases, and all rights to the Services and any feedback you provide. If you incorporate into feedback any User Content, you hereby grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display the User Content when operating the Services and for the Company’s internal business purposes.

We may also indefinitely store any information that you provide to us through the Services. We also reserve the right to delete such information for any reason and for no reason. We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk. The Company also assumes no responsibility for loss of information, howsoever such information is lost, including information which is permanently deleted either through the actions of an employee or consultant or other who has access to the information, through failures of a computer network, or through any policy or directive of the Company for destruction of data.

Employment

When applying for employment at the Company, any information provided by a User (including personal information) will be used to determine suitability for the position. If the User is not hired, the information provided to us during the recruitment process will be destroyed. If the User is hired, but employment is subject to a probationary period, and the employment is not successful past the probationary period, the information provided to us will be destroyed. If a User is hired, and the individual successfully completes any applicable probationary period, the information will be retained in the individual’s employee personnel file.

Access to Personal Information

User may make a written request to the Company for access to their personal information, the purpose it has or is being used, and persons to whom that information has been disclosed and the circumstances surrounding its disclosure. The Company will advise whether the Company has a personal information record, whether the Company is providing access to all or part of the record and when and how access will be given, if applicable.

Correction of Information

If a User finds that his or her personal information submitted to the Company is not accurate or requires changes or updates, such User may make a written/email request to the Company for the correction of their personal information. Such change or update to personal information may be subject to a fee paid by you to cover the Company’s costs.

Opting Out of Communications

You may opt out of receiving email alerts from us by following the instructions in those emails. You may also stop email messages and other promotional mailing by contacting us via e-mail at .

Cookies

We use cookies, web beacons, log file information and similar mechanisms for all or any of the following purposes:

  • To store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Services.

The websites associated with the Services not respond to “do not track” signals from browsers. Thus, your selection of the “do not track” option provided by your browser may not have any effect on our collection of cookie information for analytic and internal purposes. To effectively manage our collection of cookie information, you may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies through the settings associated with your browser. But, please note that if you choose to erase or block cookies, you will need to re-enter your information to gain access to certain parts of the Services and may not be able to access other parts of the Services.

We may also use Google Analytics to analyze your use of the Services. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies. Security of Information

The Company does not sell, lease, or trade personal information to other parties other than as set forth in this Privacy Policy. The Company makes commercially reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of personal information. Employees who deal with personal information are trained and required to comply with this Privacy Policy.

In addition, the Company makes commercially reasonable efforts to maintain adequate physical, procedural and technical security for its offices, information storage and destruction, electronic files and on-line systems to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or alteration of an individual’s personal information.

Paper-based files are stored in secure operating premises. Electronic files are maintained in a secure environment with restricted access. Access to more sensitive files such as employee reco stakeholder information are restricted to employees who require access to them.

Although the Company takes reasonable measures to ensure the security of the data you may choose to provide the Company from loss or misuse, unfortunately the transmission of data through the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Neither the Company, nor any of its respective employees, officers or agents or the provider of the internet services on behalf of the Company (nor any other person involving the management or establishment of the Services) can give any representation or warranty as to the absolute security of the data transmitted using the Services and cannot give any guarantee that such data will not be compromised by bad actors. If you choose to provide data to or allow collection of data by the Company or any of their respective officers, directors or employees, agents, or independent contractors, then you do so understanding the aforementioned risk.

Transfer of Information

Customer lists and information are properly considered assets of a business. Accordingly, if the Company merges with another entity or if the Company sells its assets to another entity, the Company’s contact lists and information, which may include personal information you have provided the Company, would be included among the assets that would be transferred and the Company would request that the entity treat your information in accordance with the this Privacy Policy. The Company makes no guarantees as to whether such entity will treat your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and disclaims any liability arising out of such entity’s failure to do so.

Third Party Websites

These Services may contain links to other websites that are not maintained or controlled by the Company. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices (if any) of such other websites, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policies (if any). The fact that a link to a third-party website exists on the Services does not mean that the third-party site operates under the same or similar privacy practices as set forth in this Privacy Policy. The policies and procedures the Company describes here do not apply to third-party websites. If you access a third-party website using a link, then you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge that your access of any links to social media features on the Services (e.g., links to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) is governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of the companies providing such social media features.

Notification of Changes

The Company reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, we will endeavor to notify you of such changes (e.g., by email or an alert on the websites associated with the Services for a period of time).
